In Vetlanda Municipality children and young people have a school capitation allowance which enables them and their parents to choose their school and education profile. Similarily, the pre-school capitation allowance gives our customers freedom of choice, allowing families with small children in Vetlanda to select which pre-school or day-care centre their children will attend.

Vetlanda can offer your children a safe and calm environment to grow up in. The school bus will pick up your children every day to take them to the nearest school. All children get free school lunch every day. The compulsory school is free and the day-care fees are low.

People in Vetlanda can turn to the municipality for advice, support and help in difficult situations. This could relate to for example the social situation of children and youth, family relations, abuse problems or the need for temporary financial support. The support that is offered is largely regulated by the Social Services Act.
